 | The upgraded VWR Anti Roll Bars will stiffen up the cornering response characteristics of your car significantly without compromising ride comfort. They are a perfect complement to our other VWR Suspension Upgrades.
The VWR RacingLine Anti Roll Bars have been developed through our race programme to suit Golf and Scirocco together with the other cars that share this platform.
Whether your car is completely standard or fully race prepared, these anti-roll bars will stiffen up the cornering response characteristics of the car significantly. Yet as they only have an effect in roll, they don't stiffen up the ride quality in the way that stiff springs do - making this an ideal 'cross-over' product to fit the full race technology on your road car without compromise.
The VWR RacingLine bars have been carefully developed with varying set ups over the past few years of race and track work until we have arrived at what we consider to be the perfect settings. They have two stiffness settings, which equate to road use in the softer position, and track use in the stiffer position. This adjustability gives you the option to choose the best setting for your use and leave it, or for more demanding drivers it allows you to tailor your handling to suit your preferences by varying relative stiffness front to rear.
We only sell these ARBs in a pair to ensure that the handling of the front and rear ends of the car stays consistent (we strongly advise against fitting just a front or rear bar). The resulting increase stiffness of your car's chassis under cornering loads will noticeably improve corner speeds, and reduce understeer.
The Anti Roll Bars work best in combination with either our VWR RacingLine Sport Springs, or one of our advanced VWR Coilover Supsension systems. The bars come in powder-coated gloss VWR blue with Volkswagen Racing logos etched in.

 | If you are only looking to improve one part of your vehicle's suspension, you won't do better than installing the VWR Sport Springs. What do they do? Well, by replacing the car's four standard springs with re-engineered, slightly stiffer and shorter VWR Sport Springs, the vehicle's center of gravity is lower, reducing body roll for better handling whilst maintaining the ride quality and comfort of your car. They have been painstakingly developed to work perfectly with your standard dampers. No other changes are needed, it's as simple as that. Many experts consider suspension development to be as much an art as a science. In truth, it's a bit of both. What is certain is that an 'off the shelf' spring set that some companies offer is not going to be optimised for any particular car. For our VWR Sport Springs, we were very determined to put extensive development into determining the perfect specifications for the Golf-platform. So, our development cars have covered tens of thousands of miles to determine the ideal specification for these Sport Springs; we are very proud of the end results and can promise with confidence that we believe these to be the best springs for your Volkswagen on the market.
We have chosen to lower the car by 20-25 mm for each kit in order to preserve the wheel travel needed to keep the usability of the standard car, with an increase in spring rate of around 10-15% depending on car type. Go lower or stiffer as some lowering springs do, and in our experience your car will bounce and crash its way along the road as the dampers are mismatched to spring-rate, and the springs themselves run out of wheel travel. You also risk reducing the life of your dampers significantly if you choose the wrong springs - which the VWR Sport Springs are guaranteed not to do.
