The ESS MSS60 E9x M3 software is developed and tested in extreme heat in the Arizona desert as well as extreme cold temperatures in Scandinavia. The end user can select between tuned and stock software versions simply using the DirectFlash unit. Any future updates or changes in modifications can easily be accomodated through an emailed update for the DirectFlash unit. This unit is compatible with the latest tuner protected ECU software and does not require a backdating of the ECU software to be able to tune it.  | Featuring the newly developed, self contained Vortech V3 supercharger unit in Si trim which is capable of up to 775hp.
The E9x M3 VT1-535 supercharger system comes with an especially developed cast aluminium manifold assembly with built in velocity stacks. The VT1 non-intercooled configuration uses a similar cast aluminium manifold assembly without the integrated heat exchanger. The Akrapovic aftermarket Evolution exhaust system for BMW M3 consists of flow optimized link pipes with 2 x 100 cpsi sports catalysts and integrated resonators as well as a completely newly developed and now split-end mufflers. This exhaust system, made fully from titanium, reduces the overall weight when compared to the stock system by 24 kg.
From approximately 2.500 rpm on, the power increase is about 22 HP. The torque is nearly constant at 35 Nm over the stock. That is the real joy of driving: high speed engine benefits in daily practice due to the torque increase. It improves the agility in the lower rpm-range noticeably. Also, the engine is stronger in the higher rpm-range and the elasticity is improved considerably. The improvement of acoustics played an important role in the development.
