|The renowned designer Walter de'Silva considers Audi A5 to be one of the most beautiful automobiles he created in his illustrious career. One of the highlights of this coupe from Ingolstadt is the S5 version with a 4,2-liter eight cylinder engine that with its four-wheel drive also ensures a very enjoyable dynamic driving. |APR 2.0 TFSI Valvelift S3 K04 Conversion System

APR's S3 K04 Turbo Conversion is now available for the Audi B8 A4/A5 & Q5 2.0 TFSI Valvelift engine. APR has developed an excellent entry level turbocharger upgrade for the 2.0 TFSI VL engine by incorporating the OEM turbocharger assembly from the Audi S3 and coupling it with APR's expertly recalibrated engine management upgrade. APR's Engineering Team has developed a powerful and reliable turbocharger upgrade that maintains OEM engine bay appearance and offers up to 116 hp and 113 lb ft of torque over the OEM power output of the 2.0 TFSI.
Reliability, drivability, stealth and enhanced performance that cannot be bested are the highlights of APR's newest OEM-component based conversion package.
APR's engineers have expertly recalibrated the engine management system to allow for nearly flat torque delivery from 2800 RPM to 5000 RPM which results in a smooth linear pull throughout the power band. Keeping the track enthusiast in mind, this conversion package will not result in overpowering of the driveline but will allow for smooth acceleration to easily maintain control while cornering.
The Borg Warner K04 turbocharger selected by VAG engineers is perfectly sized for the 2.0 liters of displacement to allow for stout horsepower numbers as the RPMs increase with no dramatic fall off as redline approaches. This ensures plenty of power in the high RPMs for continued acceleration in the straights and positioning at the healthiest portion of the power band after corner exit.

At the heart of the system is the PES cast aluminum intake manifold and an Eaton M90 supercharger. This roots-type positive displacement supercharger delivers instant, seamless boost throughout the RPM range. Eaton superchargers are used as OEM equipment on Mercedes Benz, Aston Martin, and Jaguar automobiles. The system is supplied complete with all parts necessary for installation.

|Carbonio's latest carbon fiber intake for the 2.0 TFSI engine is a ram air design that completely seperates the intake filter from the engine bay. Building from years of experience on and off the race track, Carbonio's engineering team has spent countless hours developing a true cold air and ram air carbon fiber design that can be recreated affordably for the street performance enthusiast.
For many years professional motorsport organizations have suffered great expense to properly tune the air intake delivery system for turbocharged engines for use in endurance and sprint races where every last horsepower and pound feet of torque can make the difference in position when crossing the finish line. Historically these designs have proven to be the most efficient and powerful although the most expensive to produce.
Aftermarket performance companies have attempted to capitalize on these designs however the cost restraints have typically resulted in compromise and deviation from the true engineering principles associated with motorsport accomplishment. Don't be fooled by catch phrases and tag lines alluding to a new intake technology or special design characteristic. You won't see any of these gimmicks installed on race cars at the Nurburgring.

|PR's 4.2L FSI V8 ECU Upgrade is an expertly recalibrated engine control strategy that primarily remaps the engine's air fuel ratio and ignition timing, within the factory ECU, to provide smooth and reliable power as if intended by the OEM. APR's ECU Upgrade is developed to work within the OEM and Tier 1 Supplier specifications for engine component stress tolerances and performance specifications. Available in octane-specific variations, APR's calibrations allow you to take advantage of fuel quality available in your area. APR's patented EMCS functionality puts the control of your engine's operation at your fingertips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to your OEM ECU.
APR Stage I ECU Upgrade
The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade gives you higher peak numbers of 458 HP/330 FT-LBS on 93 (R+M)/2 octane and up to 466 HP/335 FT-LBS on 100 (R+M)/2 octane race fuel. As much as 18 HP and 16 FT-LBS of torque are available through the power band. APR's ECU Upgrade is the best power per dollar modification for the new 4.2L FSI V8 and gives it just the extra edge these cars lack from the factory without pushing the limits. With factory-like smoothness and drivability, APR's ECU upgrade will fill the void in an otherwise excellent car.

The APR Runner Flap Delete System (RFD) is a motorsport inspired upgrade designed to eliminate airflow restrictions within the factory intake manifold. This product is for anyone looking to maximize performance on highly tuned engines.
The runner flaps are individual plates, much like a throttle body flap, located within the intake manifold runners. Unfortunately even when opened to the maximum position, the flaps still represent an airflow restriction as illustrated in the graphic below.
The APR RFD System fills the voids in each runner after removing the runner flaps. Each piece is precision CNC machined from billet aluminum on APR's live tooling in house lathe.
Simply removing the runner flaps can cause adverse running conditions during cold start. However through proper ECU recalibrations, APR's able to provide RFD specific software for all APR software stages to eliminate this harsh running condition. This is a free upgrade for all existing APR ECU Upgrade customers.
Power Gains: At Stage 3 airflow levels, typical results showed a decrease in turbocharger lag, more than a 10 ft-lbs of torque gain and more than a 10 horsepower gain.
Recommendations: This modification is recommended for APR Stage 2+ and higher modified engines.
